Imako Vino Winery is located in the wine region of the Vardar River Valley (Povardarje), within the Ovcepole wine district. This region has a centuries-long winemaking tradition, a unique terroir, and an abundance of sunny days. In 2002, Dr. Risto Ljubotenski, guided by a vision and the desire to continue the family winemaking tradition, contribute to the development of the Macedonian wine industry, and harness the potential of the exceptional climate and soil of the region, founded Imako Vino Winery.
