Founded in Vilobí del Penedès, southwest of Barcelona, Vallformosa is a fifth-generation family winery of the Domènech family. It has survived challenges such as phylloxera and the Spanish Civil War, and in 1940, the first bottles of Vallformosa Cava were produced. Today, the family continues to tend the Penedès vineyards with the same passion and supports cancer research through the Catalan Foundation for Oncology Research. The ideal climate and vineyard locations make their Cava wines recognizable worldwide.
